I think this is a truly awesome statue. The secular and the sacred all together. This is in front of the Old Capitol Building in downtown Olympia (state capital of Washington). Too bad there's so much bird doo-doo on his head. ;-)

How close can people get to it?  If I lived near a site like that, I would absolutely volunteer to go out and keep it clean.
